I had thought of a dash clever title for this post, but I've forgotten it.

So, as many of you know, I can be a bit forgetful sometimes. I say "a bit forgetful" in the same way one might say that the Great Depression was "a bit of a drag" or that great San Francisco quake was "a bit of a tremor". Now, on a related note, yesterday was my mom's birthday.

I think you can all see where this is going.

And so, since I didn't get her a gift, despite my dad reminding me on friday (a reminder which I promptly forgot), I have a proposition. We should do for my mom what cultures should do for talented writers, teachers, poets, and those with generally saintly dispositions (especially considering that my mom exemplifies all four of these critera). In short, I move that March 4th be forever named, Donna Brown is Awesome Day. And, since mine is the only vote that matters, the motion passes.
